While waiting at the bus stop, an Empress stands unaware of the snails during near her feet. Her natural movements nudge them aside — they escape her sole for a moment, but only briefly. A second Empress notices them and, indifferent, pushes them aside while preparing for the arriving bus. One snail ends up directly behind the first Empress’s heels. As she steps back to board, her sole comes down fully, crushing it instantly beneath her. She lifts her foot for a split second to look — but the bus has arrived. Without hesitation, she boards, leaving the flattened snail behind, completely forgotten.
