As she stands still, another Empress in tight jeans and sleek sneakers approaches from behind. Without hesitation or notice, her step comes down directly over it — crushing it cleanly as she walks past. When she is gone, nothing remains but a faint mark on the ground, already forgotten beneath the rhythm of passing steps.
