As she approaches, she deliberately brings her boot down over one, crushing it cleanly before continuing her stride. On her return, she shows no restraint. Her heel presses through the others, grinding them fully into the pavement, dragging her sole to clear away what remains. Her frustration fades. She resumes waiting — composed, unmoved — as if they had only been something beneath her step.
